Photo Opportunity

Photo Opportunity is giving people with a disability the opportunity to communicate through photography, and develop their artistic talents.

Ken and Jess

The project is a collaboration between The Spastic Centre and Ken Duncan, well known Australian photographer. It aims to raise funds to develop new products to help children and adults with a disability use a camera more easily.

The first product to be developed is a monopod. The camera (still or movie camera) will be mounted on the monopod and attached to a wheelchair. A joy stick (also attached to the wheelchair) will direct the camera to any angle. The height of the camera will also be adjustable.

The monopod and the other projects are currently on the drawing board but can’t be developed further without sufficient funding.

If you can capture images with the press of a button, you’ll want others to have the same freedom. Encourage children and adults with a disability to develop their artistic talents.

Please donate online, and share the joy of photography with others.

Your gift is tax deductible a receipt will be sent promptly.
