Quick Guide for Students: Work Experience & Student Placement


Work Experience Program
The Spastic Centre offers secondary students a variety of work experience programs. These may be are tailored to your level of study and interest - whether it be to children or adults with a disability.

The types of programs on offer are in the Health or Allied professions, eg. Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Speech Pathology, Recreation and Leisure Activities.

Student Placement Program
The Spastic Centre offers Student Placements to tertiary students studying the following courses:
- Habilitation Studies
- Nursing Studies
- Medicine
- Allied Health eg. Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology
- Social Work
- Recreation and Leisure
- Human Movement
- Education

Places may be limited in some programs as many are dedicated to universities that already have established arrangements for student placements.
