Adult Resource Program

The Adult Resource Program provides a range of services designed to support and empower adults with disabilities to maintain and enhance their physical, functional and emotional well being in order to satisfactorily meet their life needs.

The program offers assessments, advice, support and information to adults with cerebral palsy and their
carers in the Sydney metropolitan, Hunter and Central Coast areas of New South Wales.
Carer and staff education, training and information are major activities of the Adult Resource Program in
assisting the community to meet the needs of adults with disabilities.

Playing the keyboard and the guitar The Service is provided through:

regular review, assessment and advice on physical and functional abilities and equipment needs
assistance to access community health providers, physiotherapists, doctors, dentists, eye specialists, etc.
advice regarding mobility and mobility devices, including hoisting and transferring equipment and methods
advice regarding home modifications, equipment to enhance independence
regular review and advice regarding mealtime management, nutrition, health and safety issues
limited access to psychological and behaviour support for individuals and families
functional assessment for personal care needs
carer and staff education and training.
