Unlock Your Creativity 2008

Unlock Your Creativity returns in 2008!!!

Do you experience a disability?

Do you want to discover your unique ability?

Do you want to express your creativity?

We invite you to join us for another exciting series of performing arts workshops in drama, dance and music!!!

The Unlock Creative Team returns for another year featuring Dean Watson, Claudia Chambers,Sarah de Jong and Cali Vandyk-Dunlevy to guide you on an inspiring journey....

This year will also feature workshops co-facilitated by Unlock's Emerging Artist, Janet Diane.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in an eight-week series of workshops focusing on movement, drama and music led once again by professional artists. You will meet new people, learn more skills in the arts and most importantly, have lots of fun!

We invite you to come along to an information day and introductoryworkshop on Saturday 20 September, 10.30am at Redfern Community Centre 29-53 Hugo Street, Redfern and learn more about how to Unlock Your Creativity in 2008!

Workshops will run every Saturday at 10am – 12noon from 27 September to 22 November(except the October long weekend when the workshop will run on Friday the 3rd of October) at the Redfern Community Centre. Participants will have the opportunity to share their creative work to family, friends and the wider community at a presentation day on Wednesday 26 November.

We recommend that you book your place as soon as possible as the series is booked out every year with waiting lists and we expect places to fill quickly again this year! Places are limited so bookings are essential.

The cost is $5 per workshop per participant, except for those experiencing financial hardship for whom fully subsidised places are available upon application. To book a place in the 2008 workshops, contact Kelli Dean on 02 9144 7400 or kdean@tscnsw.org.au.

Those who are interested can also apply for an arts administration mentorship. Working directly with The Spastic Centre and the Unlock Your Creativity project team, you will play an important role in the administration of the project (see flyer attached).
